Softwood logs are ideal for starting your fire as they are easier to light than hardwood. They are great if you want to build a quick fire. Softwood logs tend to produce a larger flame than hardwood logs, but they can crackle and spark.
Our softwood, both nets and cubic meter piles, usually consist of a mixture of species including spruce, larch and pine.
All our softwood logs have a moisture content below 20%. Softwood is suitable for burning wood-burning stoves, but we would not recommend burning it in open fires or firepits as due to the nature of the wood it can spit.
